•According to the news published on the site, rajathv8, who operates under the username BHPian, organized a 830-kilometer trip to Mangalore with a Maruti A-Star and shared that the fuel efficiency obtained from the trip was 19.72 km/liter. The vehicle performed well both in crowded streets and on highways. The user stated that the primary purpose of the trip, which took place between October 1 and 3, was to visit the beaches and eat ice cream. He also mentioned that ice cream was consumed three times, including the first evening, the first half of the second day, and the second evening; and that they also had a meal of Indian cuisine at the Janata Deluxe hotel, which belonged to the old world, on the second day. During the trip, Tannirbhavi Beach was visited both by ferry and by car. The user noted that the beach was very clean, and it included toilets, changing rooms, and showers. He also mentioned that the entrance fee for adults was 30 rupees and for children 20 rupees, and the parking fee was 20 rupees. He also mentioned that they went to Surathkal Beach and climbed the lighthouse, noting that the lighthouse could only be visited between 5 and 6 o’clock. They saw several sea stars on the beach and helped them into the water. He added that the road near the lighthouse was crowded, and many large vehicles had difficulty parking; however, his small A-Star could easily pull over.
The user mentioned that three servings of ice cream were consumed at a place called Pabbas, and recalled that they took a modest portion each time they visited, but consumed much more ice cream with a larger group in 2024. They said they spent approximately 3,500 rupees per day at that time. The user noted that the overall driving experience was great and things went smoothly. He said that the cement sections were a bit noisy and bumpy, but that it would be much better after the existing tires (40,000 kilometers) were replaced.
